ETP Training Funds
If you are considering training but need assistance with funding, you may be eligible for Employment Training Panel (ETP) Funding. Not sure if you are eligible? The Training Place will assist you with the process of using ETP funds.
The Employment Training Panel (ETP) is a business/labor supported state agency that assists employers by providing funds to off-set the costs of job skills training necessary to maintain high-performance workplaces.
The ETP program is funded entirely by the Employment Training Tax paid by California employers and is collected alongside the Unemployment Insurance (UI) tax. The program is performance based, providing funds for trainees who successfully complete training, and are retained in well paying jobs for a specific timeframe.
To be eligible for funding reimbursement employers must meet certain requirements that include that they be subject to the Unemployment Insurance (UI) tax, and have one or more full time employees (working a minimum of 35 hours per week) while making a minimum wage set by ETP.
ETP can fund a wide variety of training programs that are available through The Training Place. Examples include:
- Business Skills
- Communication
- Computer Skills
- Conflict Resolution
- Continuous Improvement, Lean/Six Sigma
- Customer Service
- Food Safety
- Soft Skills
